Important Information
Camping Questions
What can I camp in?
You can camp in anything from a tent to a motorhome. Camper Calling is for everyone.
Please note, large RV's, caravans and motorhomes are brought onsite at the owner's discretion. We cannot accept any responsibility for getting them on and off site in the event of bad weather or under any other circumstances.
Can I buy tickets on the day?
No, Camper Calling is pre-book only.
Will there be showers on site?
Yes. We will have a limited number of showers onsite open from 7am until 10pm.
Are there any electric hookups?
No, but we may be able to assist the charging of electric mobility scooters at the information stand although there is no guarantee. We advise bringing sufficient battery packs.
Do you offer electric hookups?
No. Unfortunately this is not possible.
Are generators allowed?
No. For safety and noise reasons private generators are not permitted.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, they are not allowed in marquees/tents after 8pm and must be kept at least 50m away from any outdoor stages.
What days can I camp?
You can camp on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Visitors must leave the site by 12 noon on the Monday.
Thursday night camping is only available to those who have pre-booked Thursday night passes.
Can I have a camp fire or fire pit?
No, for obvious reasons. Anyone found with one or starting a fire will be removed from site without refund of entrance fees and banned from all future events.
Can I use a BBQ?
Fitted gas stoves inside vans can be used as well as gas stoves and gas BBQs raised onto tables or stands.
Disposable BBQ’s are not allowed however other BBQ’s designed for charcoal are allowed unless weather restrictions are in force. Charcoal must be completely cold before disposal in a bin.
Any cooking below table height is not allowed.
Please do not take a barbecue inside a camper van, tent, or similar; in addition to the fire risk a barbecue gives off carbon-monoxide which can be fatal if inhaled.
Can I bring my own boats, kayaks etc?
No. All activities on the lake are managed safely by Black Goat Adventures. If you would like to make use of the lake then you must do so by booking through our Lake Activities booking page.
Can I bring a bike?
You are welcome to bring a bike but please respect pedestrians and nothing powered/motorised other than accessibility scooters please.
Food and Drink
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Weekend campers can bring a reasonable amount of alcohol per person for your own personal consumption, anyone drinking alcohol must be of legal age and may be asked for ID. Anyone not having ID may have the alcohol confiscated.
Please remember that glass is not allowed anywhere on site so please make sure to decant anything you are planning to bring into the campsites into plastic containers before you arrive. Bag checks will be in place on entrance to the entertainment areas.
An adult wristband is not enough to prove you are an adult, we will be operating and enforcing a strict Challenge 25 policy. If you can’t provide valid identification when asked by bar staff, you will be denied service. So if you are lucky enough to look 25 or younger, please make sure that you bring an acceptable form of identification.
Valid forms of ID include:
- An in date photographic driver’s license or provisional licence.
- A valid passport (not a photocopy). Out of date passports will NOT be accepted.
- A Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (showing the PASS hologram).
Can I bring my own food?
You are welcome to bring your own food to Camper Calling although it'd be a shame to miss out on the fabulous selection of street food we will have at the show.
Water
As part of Camper Calling's commitment to eliminating unnecessary single-use plastic on site we have free water points around the site. Please bring a reusable/refillable plastic bottle with you. There will be canned water available to purchase.

Due to the nature of our camp sites we advise that once camped you should not plan on leaving until Monday morning unless absolutely necessary.
If you wish to leave earlier please camp close to a fire lane and leave during gate opening hours and never in the dark.
All campers must have left the venue by 12 noon on Monday.
Can I arrive on Saturday instead of the Friday?
Yes, if you have a camping pass you can arrive on Saturday although the price remains the same.
Arriving by taxi or getting a lift?
Ask your driver to follow signs to the blue gate where you'll be shown to a drop off area.
Ticket Ordering
Can I buy day tickets?
Day tickets are unavailable.
Can I buy tickets on the day?
No, Camper Calling is pre-book only.
When will I receive my tickets?
2-3 weeks before the event. If you have not received them by the 20th of August please get in touch at least 1 week before the show.
Why don't you use E-Tickets?
Unfortunately we can't use E-Tickets for weekend campers as we need all campers to have wristbands and vehicle passes ready and on display for arrival. This makes the entry process much faster and can avoid traffic jams on the highways.
Age Restrictions
Camper Calling is a family festival and by purchasing a ticket for an individual under the age of 18 you are confirming that you are either the parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian of the teen or child for whom you are purchasing.
Ticket holders under the age of 18 can only enter the festival with the person who purchased their ticket i.e. their parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian. Anyone with a ticket under the age of 18 without being accompanied by the above will be denied entry.
There is a limit of no more than 3 children per adult.
