The chart-topping icon and Kitchen Disco host will be sure to bring us a perfect blend of her old and new tunes, and we couldn’t be more excited to have Sophie join us as our Sunday support.

The Beat

Headlining the Arrow Stage Sunday, it’s The Beat!

With each band member bringing a taste of soul, reggae, pop and punk, they collectively pulled these disparate pieces together and created infectious dance rhythms in their music.  In 1979 The Beat were riding high in the UK charts with their first single, a smoking remake of the classic Smokey Robinson tune ‘Tears of a Clown’. They became an overnight sensation and one of the most popular and influential bands of the British Ska movement.

Over the course of the next five years The Beat toured relentlessly and released three studio albums: “I Just Can’t Stop It”, “Wh’appen”, both reaching number 3 in The UK album charts and “Special Beat Service”.
BBC1 recently launched their new 6-part series ‘This Town’ about the rise of Ska. Ranking Jnr features in the series talking about Rankin Rogers input in the Ska and Two Tone movement.

The Beat featuring Ranking Jnr continue to perform all the classic hits in their dynamic live shows. Catch them on the Arrow Stage Sunday night for a Ska, Reggae and Punk Rock party!

Hothouse Flowers have been singing and playing all over the world for thirty years, yet no two shows are ever the same; The band call upon their grand repertoire to create a show that is unique to the time and place. Witnessing Hothouse Flowers there is a sense of musical adventure, an impulse to reach new heights and depths in music where the unspoken aim is that the band and the audience become one. In true Rock ‘n’ Roll spirit they do not take themselves seriously, however, there is no mistaking the musical integrity among them as they open up to each other in musical dialogue.

Punk Rock Factory

High energy, punk rock powerhouses Punk Rock Factory make easy work of their special brand of punk covers, and we’re ecstatic to welcome them to Camper Calling!

Formed in 2014, the boys were drawn together for their love of great music. The band quickly began to combine everything we all love about 1990s/2000s punk rock with classic and hit songs like you’ve never heard before. From the epic-ness of Meat Loaf to the soaring power of a musical theatre ballad, nothing is off limits to them. Their album ‘A Whole New Wurst’ consists entirely of Disney classics with their unique punk rock twist, and it became an instant success upon its release. Their revivals even consist of children’s TV themes from the Flintstones to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, giving hilarious remakes and epic covers to many songs we know and cherish.

Yorkshire brothers Kiaran & Brandon Crook, together with Alex Proctor & Trent Jackson create The Sherlocks, one of the most exciting bands to be emerging in the UK. As well as selling out tours across UK & Europe, the band have also achieved chart success with 4 albums in the Top 20.

The Sherlocks have toured with Kings Of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, The Libertines and most recently, Keane. Their new album 'People Like Me & You' is making waves on the music scene, projecting an extremely bright future for this true rock 'n' roll outfit. Catch them Sunday on the Lakeside Stage!

Bringing an authentic Southern soul sound to Camper Calling, it’s the Atlantic Players!

This 9-piece soul band from Moseley are thrilled to be back at Camper Calling for 2024, seven years after making their debut at the festival. Hugely influenced by Stax, Willie Mitchell and generally most things from Memphis circa 1966, it’s no surprise that you can expect nothing but good old Southern Rhythm and Blues with The Atlantic Players.

Having toured with some of the greats including Geno Washington, Martha Reeves, Joe 'Pep’' Harris, members of UB40 and more, it’s just one big party when you catch these guys live! Arrow Stage, Sunday afternoon - we’ll see you there!

After a successful 2023 signing to their first record label, this British Indie band from Bristol are set for a huge career. Their long friendship is evident in their chemistry on stage and in their music, so it’s a joyous set to watch. They’ve supported the likes of Royal Blood, The K's, The Royston Club, Sports Team and Sea Girls, so fans of these bands are sure to enjoy Dutch Criminal Record’s tunes.

Welcome GIRLBAND! to the lineup!


GIRLBAND! are an alternative three-piece from Nottingham; A formidable force for good and a dynamic group that pull on influences from the 50s to the 90s, creating a joyous, natural musical palette cleanser like no other.
A punk band making pop songs, influences include other seminal three-pieces such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana and The Police, as well female-led groups such as The Breeders, The Cranberries and The Pretenders. The girls are, in their own words, ‘a bulletproof wolfpack’.

Georgie, Jada and Kay come together to create the perfect girlband, and you can catch them on the Arrow Stage, Sunday afternoon!

We’re excited to announce Jamie Grey to the lineup!

Jamie has been capturing people's imagination with his emotionally driven powerful vocal delivery coupled with his melodic hooky songs. His style, predominantly through use of acoustic guitar and piano, is at the core singer/songwriter but he flirts in several sub genres from straight pop to folk, soul, as well as RnB. His first independent release in 2019 'Arms Around You' was instantly picked up by the editorial playlist on Spotify ‘Sad Songs’ and stayed at the top of the playlist for 8 months, amassing over 12 million streams.

With a career that has gained a huge following in such a short period of time, Jamie is sure to provide us with the perfect melodic start to our Sunday morning, Lakeside Stage at Camper Calling!

The Rosadocs

Hailing from Sheffield, The Rosadocs are a five piece alt rock/indie band rising up through the upcoming UK indie music scene. They are described as having meaningful lyrical roots with strong guitar driven melodies and anthemic, arena filling choruses. 

2023 was a stellar year for the band. They sold out a full UK tour along with a gigantic sold out hometown headline show , as well as joining the likes of Madness, Kim Wilde, The K’s, The Sherlocks, The Lathums, Sleeper and many more with support slots.

Described by National Music Magazines as ‘one of the most in demand Anthemic Indie-rock bands on the circuit right now’, 2024 certainly looks to be a huge year for The Rosadocs! Catch them opening the Arrow Stage, Sunday!

Sailing in as Headliners of the Freshly Squeezed Tent on Sunday, it’s the Old Time Sailors!

We once more welcome a hearty crew of 30 singing sailors ready to welcome you aboard! Grab your shipmates, grab a pint and head over to sing along. Each member of HMS Calling gets a copy of the Sunday Sailor programme, with all the lyrics to the songs, so there’s no excuse to not join in! Land ahoy!

Bowen

We’re excited to introduce Bowen to the lineup!

Bowen is a new wave rock act from London. Fronted by South London singer- songwriter Neve Bowen, taking her sad girl sound and turbocharging it into a New Wave band. With a shared love of bands from the late 70s (that they should be too young to have ever heard of!) the band came together to create their sound, blending influences from the likes of The Smiths, Blondie and The Pretenders with acts like Wolf Alice and Paramore.

Joining Freshly Squeezed is an emerging band set to make waves in the industry…welcome, Paradise Circus!  

Hailing from Birmingham, the electrifying 4 piece combine their penchant for intricate lyricism and captivating melodies with a touch of 2000’s nostalgia. This is evident in their latest single ‘Sunrise’, that leans into the idea of keeping hope despite the immense pressure of life. The heartwarming anthem is one of the band's most personal tracks to date, with a chorus you can imagine being chanted along to at a festival on a blistering Summer’s day (so you best get learning it for Calling!)

A collaboration of renowned industry professionals are responsible for the incredible level of production achieved, consisting of recording engineer Chris D’adda (The 1975, Kodaline), mixing engineer Andrea Cozzaglio (Anne Marie, Wet Leg, Inhaler) and mastering engineer Andy Baldwin (Oasis). The attention to detail in creating such a warmth and richness of sound is worthy of accolade and attention.

Sophie Griffiths is a singer-songwriter from Essex. Taking inspiration from iconic figures like Duffy, Amy Winehouse, and Norah Jones, Sophie’s work is a fusion of her spirited old soul with a contemporary twist. Her music presents a distinctive turn of phrase, whilst showcasing her flair for crafting ear-catching melodies.
